Arctic Paws, LLC.  was founded in 1998 by Brett and Kelly Gibson.  The first batches of Yummy Chummies were made in the couples Anchorage, Alaska home.  Today Arctic Paws production plant  occupies a 12,000 square foot facility on 2 acres and provides 9 full time jobs.  The company produces in excess of 1 million pounds of treats Annually.  

The idea for making Yummy Chummies was grounded in the knowledge that dogs GO WILD for the great taste of salmon and that salmon offers the added benefit of being a very healthy food source.    The motivation for developing the Yummy Chummies family of products was also driven by the couples environmental princples to ensure full utilization of the abundant, renewable, and sustainable Alaska salmon resource. Today, Arctic Paws is the largest producer of wild Alaska salmon products for dogs.  Arctic Paws is responsible for introducing millions of dogs and their owners to the great taste and healthy benefits of salmon.
